Election Information

The 2026 primary and election dates are shown below.  The City of Spring Park will have two council member seats open and the mayor's seat open.  Click the link below to find out who is on the Election Day ballot for 2026.  The Lake Minnetonka Communications Commission will have the local races covered. Be sure to tune into LMCC Channel 12 and the LMCC website for "Meet Your Candidates", beginning in October.

State Primary 

  • June 26 through August 10: Absentee voting by mail or in person begins for State Primary (absentee voting will close at 5pm on August 10)
  •  July 21: Last day to pre-register to vote 
  • August 11: Primary Election (polls open 7am to 8pm)

 

State General Election 

  • September 18 through November 2: Absentee voting begins for the general election. 
  • October 13: Last day to pre-register to vote. 
  • October 18: Direct balloting period begins.
  • October 26: Open for absentee voting 9:00a.m. - 3:00p.m.
  • October 29: Extended Voting Hours, open until 7 p.m.
  • November 2: In-person absentee voting closes at 5 p.m.
  • November 3: General Election Day (polls open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.)  


On election day, all eligible voters who reside in Spring Park may vote between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Spring Park City Hall, 4349 Warren Avenue, Spring Park, MN 55384.  See links below for additional details.
