Sunset Drive - Undergrounding Utilites

In anticipation of the Sunset Drive Road reconstruction project by Hennepin County, the city will be looking to underground the utility lines along that corridor.  Xcel Energy is currently working with the other utility companies to coordinate the timing, construction, and the design for the project. 

The project will be broken down into 2 phases, the first phase being from Shoreline (CR 15) to Park Lane with the second being from Park Lane to Shadywood Road (CR 19).  The anticipated construction start date for phase 1 is Spring of 2026 with the second phase commencing in the Spring of 2027.  Stay tuned for more details as this project moves forward!
