June 1, 2026 - Centerpoint to begin Utility Construction on Sunset

Centerpoint's contractor, Michels, will be starting their relocation work on Sunset Drive next Wednesday June 3^rd.  They will be closing the road to thru traffic between Northern and Park Lane.  They will be boring in their new gas main from Northern and proceeding north up to the Shadywood.  There will be a second Michels crew that will follow with the service connections.

Annah Anderson at Centerpoint said post cards have been sent to all residents on the corridor, in addition, there will be a construction sign on site with Centerpoint’s project information.

Centerpoint anticipates the duration to be 3-4 weeks.

Updates for other utilities will be shared as they become available.  Telecom relocations are currently underway onsite, and Xcel is very close to starting as well.
